abs lighted and 4x4 light flashing 7x?

i have not been able to pull codes due to busy schedule...i have 04 explorer w/ 50k...i have a solid abs light with a cycling 4x4 mil flashing 7x...i definitely know that the abs is now non-functional and have not tried the 4x4...any suggestions? i would appreciate the help!! thank you!

your problem is in the abs. had the same issue, turned ou to be a bad r/f wheel speed sensor. the abs disables the 4x4. your gonna have to pull the codes to see what you got.

does cruise work? If no cruise, my guess and the cheapest part is the Brake Master Cyl Switch, cheaper then taking it somewhere to have the codes read. . .which would be cheaper than the next common failure the Rear ABS sensor, or the fronts.

i have a 04 also and had the abs light on solid. i forget if the 4x4 light was blinking.

But what i replaced was the rear abs sensor. IT is located on the top of the rear differentail. cost was about 30$. took my air nozzle and blew off around the sensor, removed the wire plug and then one 10mm bolt.

Hardest part was finding out how to remove the spare tire for the first time. lol
