Hey guys, for the past few weeks, about 40% of the time when I stop, my ABS comes on. I am usually on totally dry, level pavement and almost to a complete stop, probably still going about 5 mph or so. The ABS comes on for a second or two until I stop. I am assuming it must be a faulty sensor or something, but I need help diagnosing or hopefully fixing the problem without costly repair work! Thanks!

Just a thought, and probably not related, but check your Brake fluid level.....the Ebrake light comes on if there is little fluid, so who knows...

wow.. i didn't know that! maybe that's another problem that just started yesterday. i'll check it at lunch!

I am pretty sure my brake fluid level is fine. Any other ideas as to why the ABS would go off when it shouldn't? (A lot!)

i was told and realized as well that mine started doing the same thing when i upgraded to 31's from the 235's. i dont know how long you had yours but that could be it or a bad abs modulator

Well it was actualyl doing it before I upgraded to 31's. I only did that last week too! this has been a problem for a few weeks now, so I guess I'll have to ask a shop or something.

its probly the module then or the rear sensor, there's a tsb on the sensor

the same thing is going on with my 97 .... it used to do it once in a while and now about 40% of the time....

also it does it more when its cold....

Does the amber ABS light come on or can you feel the brakes pulsating (ABS event) when you stop?
