ABS question

I've got a 93 Ex with ABS, and when I hit the brakes in the snow and the ABS activates, there's an odd grinding noise that comes from around the brake pedal until I come to a complete stop. Everything works fine and I hust had the brakes completely redone including new calipers, rotors, pads, etc. I just wanted to know if this was anything to worry about.

That's the sound I get on my '97 when I try to stop quick on ice or snow. Sounds normal to me!

The sound and feel are the result of the ABS actuator 'pumping' your brakes for you. This is very normal and they way it's supposed to work. The newer systems aren't as violent as ABS of yester year.

Big difference from my 96 to the 00. I barely know the 00 kicks in.

Like the others have stated this is completely normal. The newer ABS systems pump the brakes so fast the pedal only slightly vibrates and you can hear a slight whine.

6 or so inches of snow in Maryland today.
Went into ABS mode.
I can not believe how smooth and,,,,,, lack of feel it is.
