I did a search and couldnt find much on the subject but did end up feeling pretty lucky I havent had any AC issues with my 97 V8. The problem with the AC is on a friends 2000 V6 Limited. When you turn the AC on it creates a vibration that can be felt with the hand on the engine and while sitting in the vehicle. It only happens at a stop and in gear. The best I can tell is that it is pulling the engine RPM down low enough to make it run a little rough under the load. It's not missing, though. In one thread I found someone mentioned a separate idle control that is supposed to kick engine RPM up to compensate for the extra drag when the compressor activates. The idle definately is not increasing when the AC kicks on. Is anyone familiar with this circuit or have any suggestions for fixing/troubleshooting. Any other suggestions??

P.S. This is her 3rd engine in 120k miles. Now the shop she's been taking it to wants to replace all the engine and trans mounts in an attempt to fix the problem, lol. The problem didnt start until after the 3rd engine was intalled.
