Hi all, searched the forum, but to no avail and the web is even less help unless you need to know where the valve is.

I cannot find the PSI that the low side of a ford explorer 2002 xlt with rear air. Does anyone have this data? I'm at 50 psi right now on the home charge kits, and that is in the yellow (Might be overcharged range) since I'm not getting quite enough air, I wanted to find out what others have before I go mucking with the system and screw it up.

Thanks,

Tom

Not quite getting enough air means what? Not blowing enough, not cold enough? If its not cold enough, you may have too much pressure. Too much can cause lack of cooling. Typically a 134 system will have between 25-45 psi depending on atmospheric conditions. 50 on a really hot and humid day might be ok, but if you are running 50 and its 80 and shady, it would be overfilled. Remeber your Gas Laws from high school chem? Freon's act in the same way, so your pressures will vary depending on the day. Hope it helps
