Ac compressor going out

So my ac compressor is going out on my 2003. I don't have the money to replace it right now. But I still need to use truck to drive to and from work.
My question is there any one that has by passed it. If so do I just get a smaller belt.

Yes, you can install a shorter belt. There is also an A/C bypass pulley available, but it's easier (and less expensive) to change the belt.
