I’d take that belt and compare it with different brands of the short belt. The V8 belt looks to be about 2 and a half inches longer than the specs on that drive works belt. (80.9inches) You’ll need to figure something out, because this will eventually strand you.

The AC clutch is not that expensive, and can be changed with a little work. It's one bolt and snap ring as I recall, what else(it's been ages since I had to do one)?

FYI, the SOHC can be had without AC. Ford built a model of 2nd gen chassis, for the USPS, as a mail truck. We've got one at work, and I've seen under the hood once. It has no AC compressor at all, but the bracket is there. I had wondered if they put the clutch on but had no AC lines, there is no unit in the dash(unique RHD dash).

I have a brand new AC clutch that I didn't use.

It was just shy of $100 at Advance Auto.

Take that belt back and make me an offer, it's just sitting on the shelf, somewhere in my warehouse.

I put in a complete new AC system about 6 months ago and have no need of the clutch at this time.

I even have the tool to hold it so you can loosen the bolt.

I'd be willing to loan it to you if it would help.

This is the belt that didn't fit. It was a couple inches short with the tensioner pulled back all the way

The cheapest and easiest solution is to use a belt to bypass the A/C, if the 810K6 belt (81" long) was too short, look for an 820K6 (or something close to that) and try it. Still to short? Try an 830K6 or something close until you find one that works. I'm sure Advance doesn't stock very possible size of belt by the inch or 1/2 inch, but they'll let you look to see what they do have. If you have the money (or a credit card) buy a bunch of different lengths to limit the number of trips you'll have to make back to the store. Then return the ones that weren't right. Again, do not have the counter person try to look it up. If you do you'll get the wrong belt guarantied. They're computer systems will not have this information.

You can worry about replacing the A/C clutch later. It's not that hard to do and I can walk you through how to do it (I've done it twice).

Advance does seem to stock practically every 1/2" length in the Dayco belts, at least in common size ranges (may vary by store location). Here's an 82.5", 83", 83.5" (use #s 5060 then last 3 digits are length):

Looking at Advance on-line, it shows an 88.3" belt with A/C and 81.0" belt w/out A/C, so I suspect the OP had the counter person look up a belt for w/out AC (which typically wont work). It's hard to say which belt will successfully bypass the A/C compressor on an A/C equipped vehicle, so unless someone on the forum has done this and has the belt number it will be a trial and error process. The correct belt length will be something between 82"-87". Good luck.
