OK, So I have an 06 Explorer 4.0 that quit blowing air out the AC/defrost heater, etc. I went ahead and checked both the 40am fuse under the hood and I swapped the relay to tested. I also checked the fuse under the drivers side. I swapped out both the fan motor and resistor. Still nothing.

Aside from manually changing out the external control knob, Is there anything else I can check to see what is causing the trunk to not to blow air?

Most likely you are missing a power or a ground. You will need a wiring diagram, test light and/or a multimeter to figure out what is missing. If you already have a test light or multimeter then wireing diagrams can be found at all data diy (google it) for around $20 a month (should only need a month). Or change out the control and hope it works.

Pine hallow auto Diagnostics has a video on a volvo with no blower. While not the same vehicle the same principles will apply.
