ac electrical problem! heat index 110deg.

hey guys if i dont get this ac workign my girlfriend is gonna hang me! lol anyway here goes. when you turn on the ac nob.(i have a 94 truck) the light does not come on. when i put a jumper wire in the ac pressure switch no power goes to the compressor? is there an ac relay somewhere that has burnt out? i llooked at all the fuses under the hood and all seem ok. i dont have the factory manual so i dont know what fuse under the dash is for the ac. i looked at them all but all seem to be ok. one by one pulling them out. is there anyway the control knob button is broken? i guess i could get one from the j yard cheap anyway any help will be greatly appriciated.
