I have an 03 explorer eddie bauer edition and the compressor is not kicking on. I have jumpered from battery to coil, and know that the clutch works, compressor is in good shape. The system is full of refrigerant.
No power is coming to the compressor. I thought i may have damaged the wires at some point (ac had not worked for over a year), so i rewired from battery fuse box directly to compressor (using wiring diagrams, I assume I trapped into the correct wires).
I have tested and switched the relays, and i have checked all the fuses. The only fuse not coming on being #7 in passenger compartment, though the fuse is good.
I jumpered both cycling switches, but don't see any power coming to them with a test light with ac turned on and car running.
Next step is replacing the diode which I am picking up from the dealer today.
Any other items I'm overlooking? Is fuse 7 relevant at all?

Maybe this helps?

Thank you. I will take another look at that, but i did bypass the harness with wiring of my own from the fuse box to the compressor. Maybe the pressure switches are also on the same harness?

Ok, so I've taken a look at the wiring. From what I can tell, the wiring cluster that goes near the oil filter, etc is where that battery junction box connects to the compressor. I've already addressed that with new wiring. For the pressure switches, the wiring goes almost directly from the pcm to the low pressure cycle switch, and goes along the side and upper front of the engine bay to the high pressure switch.
The switches are not getting voltage. I am considering trying to rewire from pcm to the pressure switches, but before even considering that, is there something else I could be missing? Things to check before splicing in?
