HI all. My 95 Eddie B has been flawless for almost 100k miles until now. The AC is giving me trouble: I have the auto climate control. When set on "Max AC", the air blows cold as it should. However, when set to anything else with the temp set as cold as possible, warm air blows out. Anyone ever have this problem or have any ideas?

Thanks a lot

peace

Needs to be charged..With the ac set on max, the compresser runs continuisly..In any other setting it runs in cycles, If the freon is low, the cycle is not long enough to build up enough pressure to get the cooling effect from the gas exspanding..

Im impressed mike, I was gonna respond to this one. Had my ESCO institute cert. card ready and everything...

HEHE, in a past life I worked on them too..

I have a 96 Limited as it is called in Australia and have just started to experience exactly the same problem.

On max air all is fine but above max it cools with maximum fan and then after the car cools its start to reduce fan speed and then over compensates are starts to heat, It continues to cycle.

I had it services and they said they thought it was the "head". No quite sure but this is the computer controller I think. They want $Aud 1600 for one and are not totally sure that it will fix the problem.

Have you had any luck with finding what is causing the problem.

Craig.

Here, when we refer to "head", it is usually in reference to the head gasket on the engine. Not sure if that is what they mean, but if it is, I don't see how that would have any effect on the performance of your A/C.
