94 ranger
Hi My name is Marlon I have a 94 ranger. Over the last few months I have had problems with the truck. Most of the problems I have figured out but a new one has developed. So the truck runs and iddles just fine once it is warm but when I accelerate after a certain RPM it loses power and will not rev. I have read the manual and it says that the posible problems could be with the electrical system the spark plugs or the fuel filter. I've spent 1700 on it already. Is this problem something more serious or should i go ahead and chage those parts??? Help!!!!

Welcome to the site.

it sounds to me that your not getting the fuel neccasry or the air to gas ratio may be off i would try changing the fuel and air filters both its only 25 bucks and you probably could use them anyways.. the second thing i could think of is the spark plugs which is what you also said, its a little more time consuming but its also a inexpensive replacement. also try some injector cleaner its 3 bucks it cant hurt to try

i am having the same problem and my theory is my fuel pump relay is over heating. I am here looking for answers too.

lol but i have an explorer, lol. i tried injection cleaner. the issue i am having developed when my ditzy gf ran it low on gas and then whaled on the starter for 30 seconds.

Marlon, i have had the same problem we looked into air and fuel to see it was getting both problem was the mass flow sensor, you should check that out thats usually the problem... after you do that spray a lubricant into the air intake... my 97 Ranger worked fine directly after:salute:
