Hope someone can shed some light on this one. My 94 can't seem to get past 30 mph until it has warmed up for 1-2 miles of driving. Only code I'm getting is on the egr valve. But as I said once warmed up for a few miles seems to run normal. Even transmission mechanic driving it noticed nothing.
Going to leave it with him so he can drive it cold but I thought I'd pick the brains here first.

Mad 93 ,

How's it going up in the Sault ? I'm originally from Sudbury myself .
Never got a code number from the mechanics. They just mentioned egr.
The trouble is the truck revs fine , its just theres' no acceleration . I've got it at 3000 rpm to try to get 50 kmph. Looks like the tranny is having trouble shifting .

Mad 93 ,

The manager from my local Mr. Transmission took it for a test drive with code reader hooked up. He found nothing . Of course it was plenty warm by then and driving normally.

Maybe I can help with the a/c . Mine wrent out to so I picked up this stuff called duracool from my parts supply guy. Two cans for $13 each and $20 for the hose hook up and a/c is working. Has lasted for a month or longer now. Parts guy says he sells the stuff by the skid load.

Well the tranny shop basically rebuilt the damn thing for the 3rd time . Got a deal ? because its my 3rd time round at $1500. Trucks hardly worth that. What are ya gonna do though ?
Said planetary gear was damaged and who knows what else.

93,

Have no garage to work in and little driveway space too . Did a clutch plate rebuild once at a do-it-yourself garage and with fees didn't save much money. Time to start looking for a jap truck or suv. Now off to rob a bank.
