Ya, it's my Freestar van...
How can I safely get this off? I can scrape it off with my finger nail but that will take forever. Should I just leave it? I don't want to make it any worse.
His car was black obviously. I lost a little paint where you see light lines in about 3 spots.

have you tried using a buffer or a damp rag and elbow grease to get it off?

Not yet. I have a buffer but was worried it would grind it in worse and scratch the paint. I guess I could try a small section first.

I have removed stuff like that using Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. Takes ALOT of elbow grease though...

That is indeed what we call transfer. Best way to get it off is to pick at it then hit it with a clay bar once all the big pieces are gone..

My thoughts exactly. A little paint thinner may also work.

Todd got this one right.

Thinner will do the trick wonderfully and in no time at all.
Just remember to wash it clean afterward and apply fresh wax.
If it takes more than ten mineuts you are doing it wrong.

Thanks guys, I'll try this on the weekend when it dries up.

Update!

I used a dribble of paint reducer on a cloth and with some very light rubbing, I got all the black off. Thanks guys. My wife & I are very happy.

u can use thinner or acetone remover, make sure u clean in well after wards and wax it so it dont eat the paint,i used to remove this stuff all the time when i detailed cars..just a lil fyi for every1..if you ever get sap that dries on your truck and its a pita to get off,,,get some rain-x on a rag,it eats it right off

i had the samething mr. clean magic eraser is a miracle worker sounds crazy but water and that took of all the white paint from the other guys car
