Is there still an active service rep on here? I see "FordService" user (Crystal) was last active in 2017, and I'm looking to see if there is an updated contact.

Thanks!

No, there are no FordService reps here any longer. When members ask that question I just give them the contact info the reps supplied on their posts.

Copy that. Thanks, Peter!

They will be back on the 2020 Year Model

Why do you say that? They have disappeared from every forum they were a member of.
I say that because every model after 2011 has been the same. All that ford has done basically is a refresh. The 2020 if a complete change, so Ford would want to hear Feed back and Issues and having Ford reps on site will benefit Ford... Think about.

I interpreted it that he's joking that from their perspective and their behavior vacating the forums the fifth gen explorer was something to run away from and not be accountable for, not have to answer to daily as people complain about the many inherent problems (nothing wrong with the ptu/we won't pay to fix it/redesigns ptu with drain hole mid-generation, nothing to see here. et cetera. Also, the lawyers messaging people complaining about joining class action suits doesn't look good...for them. why stick around?). Come back on the redesign and the jeep-like engine orientation and reap all those sweet internet viral points. Praise be!

The Ford reps while here, did not report to Ford itself. Their job was to pass member's concerns to the Regional Service Managers who in turn liasoned with the dealer. The info re problems is gathered from the Ford dealers.

Peter. No matter who they reported to the info still went to Ford one way or another....The RSM Personnel works for ford and will pass the issues reported to Ford, is the only way corrections could be done.

They left ALL forums online, not just Explorer.

Fake news. ;-) Ford still has people that monitor forums and such, they just don't actively participate any longer.

If you have an issue and want attention, you need to go to the social media platforms that Ford is more concerned with and focused on. If you are a nobody though, don't expect much. You will want to make sure you are what people would deem an "influencer", or make sure you have some other qualifying status for best results (money, fame, followers, likes, whatever). Unfortunately, this is the way of the modern world. Popularity is king...

I’ve been out of the loop for a while and was wondering if there is still a Ford Rep. on here that could help me out with an issue I’m having with local ford dealer. I used to deal with Crystal and she helped me resolve 2 problems that I had with the dealership telling me to beat feet in the past. Thanks for any help.

Maybe Ford cares or doesn't care. We could be back in the 60's when the Big 3 thought that they knew ALL. And, customers had to take what they thought was best. Now we have Honda, Toyota and Datsun leading the way.

I live centered between 5 dealerships. I have taken my 2014 Explorer Sport to two of them for the P0016 code. They acted like my SUV was the 1st with that code. They wanted me to leave my car and a blank check so they could dig into the issue. I offered several reasonable resolutions to which they treated me like the criminal. The service reps said dropping the engine would cost in the thousands.... I watched a Ford Mechanic drop the engine in a Explorer Sport in less than a 1/2 hour. He even went to get coffee. I don't mind paying, but I refuse to be robbed. I will try one more and then, if necessary, fix this myself and by a Chevrolet.

Ford needs to pay attention to what we have to say. I'm a Ford guy. And, if I leave, how many others are leaving with similar complaints!

Datsun??? Haven't heard that name much since I got rid of my 1981 Datsun 510 Station Wagon in 1990. They changed over to Nissan in 1986. :)
