Do you know who offers an add-a-leaf for this vehicle (98 Explorer Sport)....I'm not sure it matters but it is 2WD. Thanks for the help.

Success maybe.....

No one replied but if anyone wants......I think this may work. http://www.natltire.com offers a Leaf spring thing which says it is for "Ford Explorer" so it should be for all Explorers.....

As far as the 3" wide monoleaf, I don't think that there is an add-a-leaf that will fit. Depending on how much you want to lift it, you could go with the Old Man Emu 2" spring and adjust your torsion bars up front to level it out (I'm pretty sure that the 2wd has torsion bars on the 95+ Explorers). You could also get hold of a set of Warrier Shackles that a few others here have gotten. I don't know where they got them but if you search the forum for "warrior shackles", you'll find a thread or two on them.

I know that the springs from the 4-door will fit the 2-door, but I don't know if they'll give you much lift or not. Are you looking for more height or just a stiffer spring?

Just to be sure, don't assume the width of your leafs however. I have a '95 Sport with a 2.5" monoleaf. I spoke with http://www.explorerexpress.com and they said that I could use the 4 door leafs. I don't know if anyone has tried it though.

Tom, I was hoping to do an inexpensive lift since the new Trailmaster lift won't fit my 2wd. I think I will go with the shackles. Thanks.
