Yes, they do. I got ~3 inches of lift in the rear with mine.

I got about that with mine, they help a great deal. Once u put them inbetween the helper leaf and the normal leafs the leafs have more of a arc then they did before.

Why do I find 3" of lift from a single AAL hard to believe? When I put mine on, my results were typical of pretty much EVERYONE else I had read of, only about 1.5".

My leaf springs were sagging alot. I didn't expect that much lift from them, but after measuring it 3 months later it still was 3" higher.

 Geez Robb you are so slow. They got 1.5" on the driver side and another 1.5" on the passenger side. :D

General leaf spring questions?

How difficult is it to add a leaf to the rear springs? (I'm pretty handy, but I've never had to do any suspension work, other than changing shocks).

What add a leaf package is recommended for a 1999 XLT? (the rear end on mine seems to sag about 2 inches, I'm not really looking to lift it more than that).

Where would I get an add a leaf package and approx. how much do they cost?

Many thanks.

it took me alone about 3 hours to complete mine in my driveway. I actually got mine off of ebay. they're pro comp aal's... we're supposed to give 2.5 - 3 inches of lift... only got about 2 though... and i got mine for 45 plus 12 shipping 57 total...

I have the PA 883 3'' body lift, tt in the front, and war 153's in the rear......i'm sittin about 5 inches higher than stock.....I am thinking about aal's....how much will it give me< and do you think it will look right with the ass end sitting higher???

XPLORIN, you can't put in an AAL unless you've swapped in 4dr leaf springs. If you look under your truck, you'll notice that you have a monoleaf instead. The amount of lift varies, you can get as little as 1" and as much as 2.5-3" (it's pretty rare though that anyone gets 2.5-3 from a single AAL)

im an idiot, i got about 3" of lift at the back by pluggin hockey pucks in there.

That suck's......I really don't feel like spending $1000+ on getting this thing higher......I already spend enough on the harley I got myself for christmas.......do 4dr. leaves bolt right up to mine?

Yeah, the 4dr leaves (91-01) bolt right up and you could get them for less than $100 @ a junkyard.

Will the 4dr. springs lift it higher than the regular 2dr. springs that I have on there right now? Or is the point of it just a starting place for the aal's?

The 4dr leaves will probably give you about 1in, more or less.
