I guess still no update on this one. I really wish to have this one.

You are not the only one.

I just picked up a 2023 ST. It doesn't have the lift gate delete option listed, and it has the hardware, kinda... The antenna wire that runs the length of the bumper is there, and so is the module box, but from what I read elsewhere, it's a dummy module. There's no electronics inside. The wiring consist of 12v+, ground and LIN Bus. There's voltage and LIN signal there, so the harness is complete. Just need to find a module. I've found all the bits to enable it using Forscan, but I have no way to test yet. I narrowed it down between the Forscan spreadsheet from the 2021+ F150s and older Explorers that had the module.

They did this in the 2022 Mach E, except they had the real hardware, just had it software disabled. I was able to enable it in those. Of course it was met with mixed emotions. 🤣

SSM 51258 2022-2023 Explorer - No Longer Equipped With A Hands Free Liftgate System - Built On Or After 28-May-2022
2022-2023 Explorer vehicles built on or after 28-May-2022 are no longer equipped with a hands free liftgate system. The vehicle is not misbuilt. The addition of any parts is not a warrantable repair. Do not submit a claim for this condition.

It may not be listed as a 'Delete' due to the fact that they no longer offer that feature going forward. It makes me think that perhaps it is something that will not be addressed at a later date like some other 'Deleted" features for which they offered a credit.

It's fun that they kept the blank module with the associated wiring, but I'm sure it was cheaper than making a change when they're likely going to refresh next year.

It appears that my sons 2023 Explorer has the module and antenna, but not activated to appear as an option. Has anyone used Forscan to turn it on? It appears that this also happened to the Mach E guys, module installed but not activated.

Your thread was merged with this existing one on the same topic found with the 'Search' feature.

Check the thread I posted just above your question. The module is a dummy to fill the space, so you need to find a module on eBay (or Ford) and install it in place of the dummy, then activate it with forscan.
