2004 Sport Trac
hi guys. I'm new here and i just bought a 2004 Sport Trac 4x4 XLS. the truck in mint shape and low miles.

the only problem is that its missing some of the options that i loved about in the XLT model.

things that i want to add are:
-keyless entry (except key pad)
-overhead console
-Fog lights
-high series center console
-power mirrors.

now the overhead console and keyless entry are easy fixes. console i can find at a wrecker from an explorer and keyless i can get installed with a remote start.

for the others tho, i'm not sure. i want to do a factory clean install with these items. is it a straight forward install? as in is most of the wiring already there on the main harness to plug them in?

thanks guys.

I would imagine that all the factory wiring would be in place,

So I should be as easy as finding the parts and installing them.

and probably adding the proper fuses in the fuse pannel

thats what i was thinking. why would ford make 2 harness for one 1 car.

im hoping i can find an xlt sport trac locally for these parts but that will be pretty hard to find

Any XLT Explorer will work for the options that you want

doing some searching and i noticed that the explorer sport has the high series floor center console with the vents in the back. but it doesnt have the radio features like the sport track.

curious if this would work.

i also found someone in Manitoba Canada parting a 2002 sport trac that was in a roll over with lots of good parts $10 and up. i'll give him a call on monday. hopefully the overhead console is still good LOL

do you got pics of ur 04 sport trac and is it 4x4 or 4x2

4x4 and sorry no pics yet
