When I saw this thread I did a search online to see if the two stores far from me were closing, but I was surprised to see that a new one opened a couple of miles away from where I live.

I went to store around 20 miles from me (worked in other duties in area too) yesterday and purchased and installed alternator in Jeep in THEIR parking lot, so I could avoid drive back returning core / for core charge refund, was assuming at first they wouldn't even care about cores in this situation. P.S. NAPA swooped in and purchased up MOST / all of their expensive parts, catalytic converters, radiators etc...there was fellow DIY guy who was outraged about it at store yesterday and on a negative YELP campaign against them / NAPA ....upset that they diminished a grander opportunity for the common man / DIY'er and plundered these particular parts out from under them, can't completely disagree with his sentiments

I wonder why they would liquidate everything instead of sending it to other stores on the east coast. I understand that trucking fees are high but they are selling everything way below their cost.
