Advice needed on 03 ranger with engine sputter above 2500 rpm

I have a 2003 ranger v6 3.0 I am getting a sputter, almost to the point of stalling at anything above 2500 RPM. Check engine light never comes on. Had a similar problem 2 years ago, and changed the TPS sensor, and it has worked fine until now. We tried a new TPS yesterday , no fix, checked fuel pressure, all is well there. The only thing left is possibly the camshaft position sensor/synchro. Any ideas before I go spend $300 + to try and fix the problem?

Ford has a tsb for camshaft syncronizer, it will fix it as it is very common on 3.0L 2V.

Changed the cam synchro, and it fixed the problem.
