I am in the middle of doing my clutch install, everything is pretty much unbolted, but i can't get the quick disconnect fitting off. I have the tool and have been trying to unhook it for hours but it will not budge. The white sleeve slides down, but the fitting does not come out. Also does anybody know where i can get the gasket that goes between the transmission and transfer case.

Push the white ring in farther than you have been. You really have to bury it to get it to release.

Yeah it's gotta be pushed in far, even a couple small screw drivers work. There is no gasket between the tranny and T-case, the M5OD is sealed off so no fluid gets in the extension housing, you will even notice there is a small channel cut into the bottom of the flange to let fluids drain if they do get in there. Even my current tranny which does need to be sealed a bead of RTV works just fine.

i was giving that thing hell and pushing on it with all my force and it still would not come out.

when i pulled the t case there was a paper gasket in between the two and it is mangled now.

I tried again for another 30 minutes and still nothing. The plastic collar is starting to get chewed up, what should i do? Also i can't seem to find the gasket that goes between the tranny and t-case. Should i just use rtv sealant on it
