It "should" work, but I'm not 100% sure. Check the part # to see if it's compatible with a pre-93 Ranger. If so, then it'll work. Good luck with it!

I think the possible difference would be the front axle. If the BII kit will work with a D35, which some later year BII's came with, then it will fit your Ex.
I'm not sure if there is any difference in size where the drop brackets fit, between a D28 and a D35...
I looked at their website and it does not ask or mention the two different axle choices on a BII. http://www.roughcountry.com/suspension-lift-kits/ford-suspension-lift-kits.html?p=4
I would call and ask if the lift you want or have fits a 90 BII with a 4.0, which would have the D35.

Ranger suspensions 83-97, bii suspensions 84-91, and explorer suspensions 91-94 should all be interchangeable.

Thanks yall i ordered the b2 kit and its on its way.

I cant remember which 4" lift kit it was but one of them could hit your front pumpkin and bust a hole in it

Rare, yeah. 1990 BII's could get D35 and 4.0. The next year it morphed in the Explorer.

I believe front pumpkin damage happens when you use a bracket that drops down your stock axle bracket. Rough country sells this bracket. If you buy a lift that replaces the stock axle brackets from superlift or skyjacker you should be fine.
