I have a 2002 Explorer.

Last week I installed Infiniti 6x8s in the front doors and Boston 6x8s in the rear doors. I had a whatever Kenwood receiver powering all four of them. They sounded GREAT!!!

Today I took out the Kenwood reciever and installed a brand new Eclipse reciever. Everything works fine but the Bostons in the rear doors dont work at all. Not even a peep. I used a different wriring harness.....still nothing. I hooked up the stock cd changer....still nothing. Basically, its not the wiring or the recievers. I'm wondering....is there a fuse for just the rear two speakers? If not, what else might it be???

Thanks!
Chris

You might want to first check the most obvious reason - are the rear channels of the new Eclipse receiver working? Be sure the front/rear fader isn't set to front only, either. Does the receiver have a fuse or dual fuses? Check and replace if needed. If nothing works, take the unit back for an exchange.

You might want to double and triple check the wiring, both at the harness and any other point you messed with it going from the Kenwood to the Eclipse. Assuming the receiver works and the speakers are fine, the only thing left is the wiring, which is highly likely.

Is the console installed, that cuts rear speakers in 95-01's? Good luck,

My money is on the wiring...you likely mixed something up. Happens to the best of us.
