I'm building up my system in my vehicle, it'll consist of:
(4) 12" Kicker CVR Subwoofer
(2) Rockford Fosgate 700s amps
(1) 4-Channel Amplifier for Door speakers (unsure of which one yet, still shopping)
(2) Sets of Kicker KS.5 door speakers.
A lot of the radios I'm looking at don't have good equlizer outputs. For instance, I've been considering the Alpine CDA-105 but it doesn't have very many options as far as the equalizer goes. I'm using an old (almost 10 year) Sony CD Player that has 7 presets, but I can also go in and change the frequencies in each setting.
So what I'm wondering is this: Because I'm planning on using RCA's to run the signal to the amps, and then to the speakers, could I simply get this receiver, run an equalizer between the radio and amps and still get the customization for the levels that I want?
I'm pretty sure this is accurate, but I've NEVER dealt with a standalone equalizer before. I like my music tuned a certain way, and my current radio gives me the options but it's starting to fail... Any advice is appreciated.
