A friend of mine is giving me a Clarion EQ.
It has 6 outputs (L & R for front, rear, and Sub) like I need however there are only 2 inputs. (left and right)

My HU has 4 outputs. L & R for front and rear.

Questions:
Do I use either the front or rear output as an input for the EQ?
Is there a "Y" adapter to change the 4 outputs down to 2?
Once I figure that out, whats the best way to connect the door speakers to the EQ? Because the output on the EQ is RCA outputs but the speakers are just wires. I still have the factory amp running the door speakers.

Thanks in advance !

use the rear outs. yOu cant y 4 rca's down to two, it doesnt work that way.

Just use one set from your radio. You will do the fading from the EQ

The way I wired the eq into my blazer ( and eventually will for my Ex ) it use the L&R out of the head into the eq then accordingly to the speakers. You still keep your stero panning and then you gain front to real fading. The thing is out of the eq is non powered so you have to add an amp. Yeah , breaks your heart hunh ?

Hooking up EQ

You can use either the front or rear RCA outputs...It does not matter (unless of course one has more volts than the other...then I would choose the higher of the two). Depending on your head unit, you may lose the capability to use the internal amp in which case you will need to purchase an external amp. On my particular HU, I have the capability to turn on/off the internal amp regardless of wether or not I am using the RCA out's. I am using the front output's to send the signal to my EQ which controls the door speakers (bypassing the EQ's SUB controls and use the HU's Sub-out directly to the amp. I prefer the HU's Sub controls/built in LPF crossover over the EQ, Just a matter of personal choice. Good luck on your install.
