Aftermarket Rim Help

2001 Ford Explorer Sport 4x4
New to the SUV/Truck world, I have stock swirl rims I believe? Chrome is peeling and would like to either paint them Black, or get some aftermarket rims. I'm not into 19-20" rims, 17/18" are fine to me since the stock are close to it. Just wanted to know what people have on theirs. Would be great! Thanks!

some folks on here have used mustang wheels, saleen rims that style but with larger tires

Ive seen people with Cobra rims on them, just don't know if I need a spacer. Reading on it, few have said it depends on the year, etc etc.

I have 20s with a 295/45 give it a great look, nospacer rubs the sway bar, with a spacer i was rubbing trim and bumper, but i cut em up and she's rolling like a dream now.
