So you can start back at my last thread if you'd like:

http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=427247

So it continued to start as I was troubleshooting the hissing sound and the power steering, probably 15 times in a row without issue, and then I had to swap the battery as I had been using my boat's battery. I was nervous this may reset whatever good juju had caused it to begin starting... and it did.

Now I'm back to a no-start condition. I have a car with air, fuel, spark and compression that will crank it's heart away but not even try to fire.
It is NOT showing symptoms of having a PATS issue (no blinking theft light).
It is getting fuel at a pressure within spec to the injectors, but apparently the injectors must not be firing.

Parts that have been replaced (off the top of my head):
Head gasket
All 3 timing assemblies
Fuel pump
Fuel filter
Camshaft position sensor
Crankshaft position sensor
EGR valve
PCV valve
Plugs and wires
MAF
Throttle position sensor
Has good gas in it
Oil/filter
Coolant
Cleaned/oiled throttle body

There's probably more, but that's what I can remember right now.
I removed and cleaned the main battery ground today, which didn't change anything.
Also tried jumping it from my Focus ST, nothing.

So, what the hell could be stopping the injectors from firing?
What am I missing here?

Any ideas/recommendations/suggestions are much appreciated,
Thanks.

And to keep this thread maybe somewhat interesting, here's a few pics.
I'd prefer it to run well, but at least it cleans up decently.

Have you got a second key?? Maybe the key has lost its code to deactivate the immobiliser....

also have you checked the injectors are actually working?

Oh and have you tried the starter motor, sometimes.they will crank but not enough to start the engine. my transit value did this and I was stumped untill I fiddled with the starter motor wires then it fired up twice and never again. changed the starter and hey presto... life.
