I'm posting about my friend's '01 Explorer 4.0l.
We changed the evaporator today and after we got everything back together we noticed the air only blows through the defroster. I saw other posts here that it was usually a problem with the vacuum lines. We didn't see the rigid lines until we already had the evaporator case pulled away from the firewall and then after we got the thing out saw there was a connector type thing on the lower corner that connects the lines through to the cabin.
The other thing is the lines came apart and there was a piece of line about 8" shaped like this:

It seemed to come from under/behind the windshield washer and overflow tanks. It had connectors on both ends and it looked like the other rigid lines just plugged into the connectors. The problem is we don't know if we got the two lines crossed or even hooked back up correctly. There also seems to be a lot of surplus "grey" line now too.
Can someone point me in the direction of a diagram of how the lines connect up and where they go?
Thanks!
Edit: I just found the following thread and looks like what I need!
