Lately I have been having a problem with the A/C being REALLY HOTT. I understand that it is 95+ here BUT it seems like it's taking a long time for the A/C to get cold. Maybe 5 or 6 minutes and even then it isn't really cold.

I checked the r 134a levels and it seems to be good. After driving for 15 minutes (and coming from the garage) it will get down to about 41 degrees.

Could this be a blend door issue? Or am i just too impatient? My grandads '04 cools down WAYY faster.

Thanks for your input. :)

I wouldn't think it's the blend door, since that would cause it to always be hot, unless it just sticks. Next time, try it in Max A/C and see what happens.

That was Max A/C.

Max A/C recirculates the interior air right? So if i want it to get cooler i should choose A/C since the outside air would be cooler so easier to cool?

That idea just came to me... I shall try it next week.

I think Max A/C bypasses the blend door altogether (though I may be wrong)and pulls in air from the inside.

Yes, the air inside the car can be very hot and take a while to cool. Usually, I crack open the windows and put the A/C on full blast and that gets it cool quick.
