air/fuel meter

Help, 1999 Explorer hesitates when driven, check engine light stays on, afraid to take it out of town. Took to Auto zone, reading said air/fuel meter, bank five repair - see ford dealer! Called auto stores, and ford repair, must take in....pay $70.00, plus part....Anyone know how to figure out which part to replace? Money tight.....Thanks,

Whoever told you that was smoking something. What they would have read was something like P0156, and then looked it up in a book. Sadly, what you were told does not present enough information to respond to your question.
