Air Intake system

Hey PPLS,

Need some help here! Anyone out there have suggestions to what air intake system to get for my explorer? I have a 1997 SOHC XLS explorer. I've also heard some problems with the mass airflow sensor. Issues with oil from the filter getting on it and affecting the computer system. HELP!!!

Hey Al,

Oh those are just some stories i heard about problems with the mass airflow sensor. Yeah, so just researching before i do it. Have any intakes in mind? Im gotta get some custom piping all the way to the front for cold air

get a kkm - youre only options are pretty much a kkm or a k&n. the thing to watch when you clean and oil the filter, is to not use too much oil, thats where the problems come in, but, usually, theyre pretty rectifiable <-- is that a real word?
