heh, true, but $230 is a little easier on the wallet than a $3000 custom blower setup :) ...though it would be damn cool (like that guys ranger thats posted everywhere.)

For some reason I could've sworn it was only every two years. I guess that must've been when I lived in Connecticut. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know the emissions rules in Connecticut, just to see if I'm right?

Anyway, hmmm. If the chip is really that good, I think I may start looking into those too. I'll come back later after having done some research. And yes, while I have to agree that the supercharger would be by far the coolest, I still gotta agree that the $230 would be a little easier to part with than the $3000 would. :)

By the way, I forgot to add in my last post that I've figured out the answer to my intake problem. I've got a KKM system in the mail, it should be here on Wednesday. I'm then going to get a mass air flow sensor from somewhere to put on, most likely from Granatelli Motor Sports. Does anyone out there have this air flow sensor, or a different one, and they can tell me how it is? Thanks!

bout how many more horsepower can i get out of a 5.0 with a KKM induction kit?

and bout how many more can i get with a dual flowmaster exaust?

its hard to give exact numbers, but youre gonna get more than the guys who have those mods on 4.0's - and most people have them, so its definately worth it (not to mention that your exhaust is gonna sound a lot better than a 4.0.)

I GOT IT!!!

For those of you out there who were keeping track of thise thread, I want to let you know that my KKM system came today and we installed it and it's great. I could feel the difference right after we put it on. The car's performance has improved incredibly. I can barely believe it. Thanks for all your help guys!

P.S. Next item coming is a Granatelli Motor Sports MAF, just if you wanted to know.

I know, I know. I can already feel my bank account shrinking....

just make sure you don't hit anything. Im already broke supporting my car, and now im gonna probably go under trying to fix it

Well that's what you get for tailgating! Sorry, I know that was below the belt. And yes, I know the story, you don't need to tell me.

So what kind of car was it? You never said, you only said an SUV. Was it an Explorer?

By the way, I saw the hole in the bumper earlier, that looks pretty harsh. You should try to put some cheap crap over it just to cover it for now.

I felt more power with my cut air box than with an open air filter like the KKM. I would have to say I gained 20hp with the dual exhaust and the cut air box. I can now leave 20 ft black marks!

Sounds like a worthwhile mod to do

Chips

With the Diablo or Superchip, is it necassary to run premium gas or will regular or mid level fuel work.

Since the chips raise the timing on your engine, you need to run premium fuel. If you don't, one of two things could happen. 1- The engine could start pinging. 2- When the computer senses the lower octane fuel, it may drop the timing to prevent the pinging, which would hurt performance.

20ft black marks!!!

I think those are the only times that I regret getting the AWD unit when I bought my MM. So, my goal is to leave tracks and I am going to have to do alot more than you all with your 2WD trucks. I have hit 340rwhp so far and still no tracks... hard to leave with STT mud tires. The new Pirelli's should help out. If you all are looking for air intakes, be sure to checkout my thread listed as K&N - Suck it up!
