Well, i just finished installing my new airraid tb spacer, and i have to say, its a nice match up with my gibson catback exhaust. it took me about 1/2 hour, would have taken much less, but i decided to clean the back side of the TB, while it was out...and as much of the intake as i could reach. easy install, cost me about 120-130 shipped from airraid, and im really enjoying the more aggressive sound coming from the intake.

i had just finished up and walked inside, and my mom was shaking her head and saying 'i cant stand that guy across the street with that motorcycle, its so loud!' haha, i just smiled and agreed with her. didnt tell her that it had been me revvin the engine to hear the whistling sound...:D

actually it is working quite well for me. i have a much better throttle response, and my acceleration is definitely faster. my engine revs up easier and im very happy with it. i think it was worth it.

you put a k&n on it first right?

yes, i have had an aftermarket filter on it since i bought it 2 years ago. got rid of the stock restrictive air box. its not cold air or anything...cuz i think im gonna build a snorkel pretty soon....

I don't get it... I keep seeing people saying they are happy with their TB spacers, and that they feel increased throttle response and acceleration. Yet, whenever I ask whether I should get one, I get a huge resounding "NO".

maybe you only feel real gains if you already have a performance exhaust and/or high flow intake. perhaps if everything else is stock the gain is so small you dont notice it...that would be my thinking. ive been driving with mine for a little while know, and i am still happy with it...i give it a yes
