Guys

I need find the airbag module so I can clear crashdata from it.Can you tell me where can I find it?

I have 2006 Explorer Eddie Bauer

Thank you

Each airbag has its own control module.
Centrally located under the center console is the Restraint Control Module. Its clearly labeled as such. Silver in color, maybe 4 inches square, 2 inches thick or so.

I believe you can remove the arm rest from the console, remove the shifter surround/front cup holder assembly, pop up the cup holder for 2nd row passengers, remove the black inner-console tub - screws in the bottom, move rear vent duct work and the module should be accessible. In other words, the center console side panels and rear panel stay in place. The module is bolted to the floor, secured to the driveshaft hump.

You are on your own in clearing any data. I've always understood its done with Ford specific software. Good luck.

Thank you, Friend of mine have software to clear the module. Thanks
