This is kind of a dumb question but im hitting up some mud this weekend....Does airing down your tires give you more traction in real wet/ semi deep mud? Or is that only on dry stuff like rock climbing? If so what should I air them down to. 20PSI or so? Thanks,

-Russ

Airing down will give you more tread on the deck. I wouldn't go much lower than 20. My usual is 35psi around town, and drop to about 24PSI on sand. Just remember to keep your speeds down (max 50mph) until you re-inflate back to normal pressures.

Do you get any added traction from airing down your tires in the snow? we got about 6" of snow today and its all packed in...pretty much like ice. You think it would help????

Yes, airing down tyres gives more grip on loose stuff. Just don't go faster than 50mph or you might roll a tyre off the rim. I'd go to 25PSI for a start - a lot safer level than 20PSI. Make sure you pump them back up when you're finished with the fun.
