Alarm system question for a 94 explorer??

after my explorer was broken into :fire: $1200 in damage and all they took was my flashlight! i looked into an alarm, i have a 92 and the 94 is the exact same. I think that alarm was $299 and to get basic insallation, no remote starter or door locks, it was about $100. I found that to get the remote door locks for the back doors it would be about $100 for each door. So the estimated total was going to be about $600. I decided not to get the alarm because i felt that it wasnt worth it.

yikes!! $600 is a bit there!
but i might be moving to a big city and it might be a must have..not sure yet!!
what about wrecking yards that have doors from 94 explorers with the alarm system already install on the doors! It would be just a re-route of wireing right??
