I have a 1992 X sport 4x4 I bought a add-a-leaf and over sized coil springs to raise both ends of the explorer.. ( I also have a 3 in body lift and running 32's on 15x8 BFG. M/T) I then bought drop brackets from tough country that was suppose to reduce and fix my camber problem when the tire shop aligned it. This tire shop was not a 4x4 shop and messed up the alignment... Then I took the explorer to a REAL 4x4 tire shop and they told me that i had dropped the axle to far and the tires with never be right. He told me to put the old stock pivot axle brackets back on.. the problem is I don;t have them anymore. Can someone please help me find a pair. (I was thinking can i raise the explorer in the front by spacers to help this problem) Also when I go over speed bumpes and off road my tires make a thumping noise.. (could this be my ball joints) (also over speed bumpers my tires toe in and out really bad... is this just because of bigger tires???) Pleasse help i need answers.... thankyou !!!!

When my balljoints were bad, my front camber was going to hell, when you hit bumps and stuff does it squeak at all, also does it squeak during turning? if so you might want to check them out.

How much lift are the springs and what brakets did you get?

when your tires are toe-in and toe-out when going over bumps that is called bump steer ..... it is caused because your steering linkage is not level ... the tie rod ends are either lower or higher then the steering arm ..... i believe the camber kit was supposed to correct vehicles with more than a 6 inch suspension lift .... to correct your bump steer problem you need to make them level .... i lowered my b2 6" and had to find a pitman arm to the steering arms and tie rods level .... all ford truck pitman arms are the same

Does bump steer cause any problems... cause when I go over bumps the driver side tire makes a thump snaping noise.

bump steer does not cause noises. get your x checked out asap
