alternative seats for 3rd gens

what other seats will fit perfectly, including power part, that will perfectly fit into a 3rd gen

IE: expedition seats in an explorer, etc.

I would imagine anything from an aviator or mountaineer would fit straight in... have a scout around

Aviator could be difficult....Their power controls are on the drivers door.

Unless you were able to switch seat tracks and trim it might work.


But I know what you mean.. the front buckets are nothing great.... my 96 has much better shaped seats.
my 04, although are leather seating surfaces, and just flat... after a good conditioning with leather cleaner you could slide right off on a sharp turn.

Yeah I really dont like the seats either. Mountaineer seats are exactly the same, construction wise. The Aviator seats appear to be completely different though. I've been thinking of switching my seats out with some from a 4th gen, since they completely redesigned the seats.

I must have been a Ford thing cause I had an 02 Taurus and the seats were the same design. Just flat..
