Ok, i asked this question in another post but it was kinda thrown in at the last second and i dont think any understood the question. I have a 99 XLT 4door, and i have a stock alternator, would the stock alternator be good enough to run dual batteries. I wont be completely draining the second battery then charging it, basically ill just be toping it off. But, would the stock alternator be good enough?

The alternator will only put out as much current as it can, so if there is a load on both sides, it'll just charge them (both) slower.

It will wear it out quicker becuase of the extra heat the extra load generates, but it will work fine. It would be the same as if you put extra lights, stereo, etc in.

okay, thanks for the quick reply. Now my question is, is 130 amps the highest output alternator that they make for my vehicle?

no they make up too 300 at exhessive amperage and iraggi will do 200 or 250 i forgot
