I know my vehicle is still running as of now but I am going on a trip in a couple of days and don't want to be left on the side of the road. Hoping for some help. I have a '91 explorer w/ a 4.0l that I bought a couple of months ago. Voltage needle bounces all over and then the drivers front window quit working (motor still makes noise and will move a little at times) followed by the passenger side. Then noticed lights are starting to flicker. Had the alternator tested in the vehicle @ Autozone. Volts were good but the amperage was @ 3.2A @ 2000 RPM. Battery terminals look a little corroded, but not to bad. Could this just be a ground issue? Is the voltage regulator internal or external and is it the problem?

That is some low amperage for the alternator.
