I agree.

You're saving me money and a lot of phone calls to car audio dealers - most of whom probably know less about car audio than I do.

I START INSTALLING TOMORROW! I'll have some pics up by tomorrow night. I'm just going to do the door speakers and install the dynamat extreme. I'm also going to do the power wiring and distribution blocks for the other amps. Talk to you guys soon.

Joe:hammer:

sweet d00d good luck im also almost done with my install here is the site that will be having all my updates and such for my system!

My god... how long did it take

for you to gut your car like that?! I have power seats and everything so wouldn't it be a real hassle for me to do that? could I somehow install the dynamat without gutting the car like that? would doing the doors just be enough?

joe

it took me about 2 1/2 hrs. to gut not include time to go get the right tools for some little ass bolt. as for power seats i dont have those but they shouldnt be that hard to take out if im correct there is like one big wire connecter that you need to disconnect on the right side of your console on the drivers side you should be able to see it. trust me it is so easy to take apart. just label and tape your screws together so you dont lose your stuff. i think the doors should be fine for now but i would seriously think about doing floors eventually when i go on highway and am going about 70-75 i dont have to turn anything up it is just the same volume as if i were on the road going 35-40. like i said if you have time it is well worth it. when i get some more money im going to do my roof just to finish her off. :shoot:

Some pics...

I put the door speakers in today with the dynamat stuff. Here's some pics. What a pain in the ass it was. My friend who's a mechanic actually had to drill holes in things to get the wires to the speakers. I haven't even started on the amps yet.

Also, the person who owned it before me put these anti-theft screws on my headunit. Anyone know how to remove them? I put a pic up of that too.
Thanks for looking,

Joe

its looking pretty good. did you clean the doors with a cleaning solution because if you didnt that **** wont hold for long. my bad news is my engine just died and its going to cost me about 2k to rebuild it. so my audio adventure has come to a holt for a while. :hammer: :thumbdwn:

I ...

I cleaned the doors as best as I could. I want to do the flooring but I think that would be a real pain in the ass with my power seats and everything.

I just bought a 3 farad digital cap/distribution block today and the wiring is on order. I should have my pics up by Wed./Thurs. when I resume installation.

Thanks,
Joe

sweet cant wait to see how you tackled this project.

What RPM is that 200 amps at? Hopefully at around 1500 or so....if it is, I'm ordering one

It is..

probably around 5000 RPM's but I'm not sure. I'll let you know in a week or so when it's all done and when I decide if I need an alternator upgrade.

Joe
