IF YOU HAVE INDER LIKE 750 WATTS CONTINOUS YOU SHOULD BE FINE WITH A CAP. I WENT THREW SO MANY AMPS AND SPEAKERS BECAUSE OF THE AMPERAGE I WAS TRYING TO PULL TO PUSH MY AMPS. FOR EXAMPLE I HAVE A ORION EXTREME 1400 AND A ORION EXTREME 800. THE PRROBLEM IS THAT YOUR AMPLIFIER IS TRYING TO PULL MORE AMPS THAN YOUR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CAN PROVIDE, MY 1400 CAN DRAW 180 AMPS BUT ITS AROUND 150 MOST OF THE TIME AND YOUR STOCK ALTERNATOR IS AROUND 90 AMPS THEN ITS ALSO TRYING TO SERVE THE REST OF YOUR CAR (LIGHTS ETC..)
SO I FOUND I GUY WHO PUT IN A 200 AMP ALTERNATOR FOR 320 BUCKS INSTALLED AND A STINGER ALTERNATOR IS LIKE 500-1000 DOLLARS SO IF YOU WANT TO GET SERIOUS SPEND THE DOUGH ON THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FIRST. BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW BIG OF A AMPLIFIER YOU GOT YOU CAN ONLY GIVE IT A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF POWER TO WORK WITH. PLUS IF YOU RUN YOUR AMP WITH THE VOLTAGE DROPPING ALL THE TIME YOUR AMP GETS HOT ,DISTORTS CAUSING THE SPEAKERS TO BLOW AND IN RETURN BLOWING YOUR AMP.
