Okay heres the deal I have an Accel coil and a miss I have been trying to find for what seam forever. Well today I was pulling the plug wires for the umtem time and bingo no deference when # 5 cylinder is pulled. Yes #5 has given hits it was the problem all a long by fouled plug and then a plug that showed no firing but it seamed to get fire when the wires were pulled before.
now any way as I pulled each wire the one next to the primary wire hook up was arcking across to the primary wires big time when the wire was pulled for the plug and motor ran worse so back on that’s when # 5's time came and no deference so I put the stock coil back on even though it has some problems there not as bad and blam miss is gone.
Now checking the Accel coil all the primary wires are right on spec but the secondary the only ones that will read are the #1 and 5 towers! no matter were I have the probes on the primary wires be it 1, 2, or 3 only tower 1 and 5 will read so would you say the whole coil is bad and if so why would it fire all cylinders but number 5?
Well time to see if it’s still warranted and if I can find the sales slip
