Hey guys im looking to get a dual amp kit but im not sure which I should get. these are the two that im looking at, what im wondering is would there be a huge difference in quality. The one on ebay is cheaper but the price could be too good to be true, on the other hand i know rockford is good stuff but that doesnt mean the wire will be any better so I just want to see what you all think.....thanks!

I have used "cheaper" install kits. One being a Scosche kit from Walmart, with the others being eBay finds. In all of these, the power wire was "just as good" as any name brand. The patch cords were very basic, but worked well for me. I have not used any of the fuse holders since I upgraded to others. Most of them I did not know if they were waterproof or not. The eBay kits also had pull ties and split loom. The pull ties were junk, and split loom was not thick, but worked fine. The Scosche and eBay kits were mostly bought for the power wiring, since it was cheaper to buy the kits instead of buying bulk wire.

Here are some of the kits from eBay I got. There are some of them on there now. I got the x.. ones from a local seller for cheap, so I saved on shipping  The other kit is a DB Link 4 gauge kit.

cool thanks for the input, any body else have any opinions/suggestions?

your ebay link should be fine. how many amps are you powering and what is their output power?

you also will need more speaker wire if you choose to run your own wires to the door speakers (the stock wiring is pos) along with possibly another RCA cord or two. but for the price alone get the ebay kit. copper is copper, the power doesn't care whose logo is branded on the cable.

my suggestion is that wire is wire. as long as its big enough to let enough current pass through, it doesn't matter what it says on the jacket. i think rockford wire does have more strands of wire in it but whats the difference in 700 strands vs 650? all that does is make it a little more flexible, but it is still the same gauge. unless a car audio shop is sponsored by a big name wire brand, they are using the cheap stuff too.

I have always been a fan of Streetwires myself. I have noticed with cheaper no-name brands that even though they say 4 guage the amount of copper is more like Streetwires 8 guage. It is hard to tell the amount of copper without being able to look at them. It all depends on what amps you are trying to run and how much power thar your amps pull. I guess for the price you could buy 2 of the ebay kits and still be cheaper.
