Ok, so I've now hookedup my system and it sounds awesome! However, there are settings on the amp for the sub which I don't know how to set. How do I determine what settings are good for the gain and low pass crossover frequency?

Also, my stealth box came with this "polyfill" stuff but the instructions didn't say anything about it or how I should use it. Should I use it, if so, how?

Thanks,

the low pass crossover should be set no higher than 100Hz. and the gain should be adjusted to match your headunit's preamp outputs. my hu has 5 volt outputs, so my gain is all the way down. if you turn it up too high, it will couse distortion. if you use the polyfill, make sure it isnt right up against the subwoofer. you dont want to overheat the voice coils.

Lee, thanks for answering so quickly. Do I even need the polyfill? What's it used for? BTW, my 10" subs in a stealth box in the stock location. Thanks,

you dont need the polyfill. some use it because it supposedly makes the subwoofer perform like it's in a larger enclosure. in all of my best installs, i've enver used polyfill.

Thanks, glad to hear it. I really didn't want to pull the whole thing apart just to stick some glorified cotton balls in there. Plus, now I can iuse it for spider webs for Halloween!!
