I recently splurged on a decent system, and im having a little trouble finding a safe and easy place to run the power wire to the battery through the firewall. Also how does a capacitor come into the picture when wiring, what needs to be run from where, im running a 4 channel for the doors and a 1200 watt sub amp, any advice would be great.

i did the same as what ur doing just i used a 800 watt amp.

for ur setup ur gonna need bigger wire then 4 guage i hear. by the gas pedal there is a ruber gromet i mad a hole in the rubber piece with a screw driver. then i ran the power wire threw that. then you can just connect it to the battery. run the wire on the driver side to the back. then u need to run a destribution box from the main wire to lower gauge wire like 4 or 8 depends on what u use for the wire to the battery. then just connect the wire to your amps. you wanan run your remote wire and rca plugs on the opposite side of your power wire. idk if you wanna run a cap or not as it would have to a large one. either way it will be alot on your alternator if you havnt upgraded that already yet. if not id rather get a 200 amp alternator then a cap that way you will have no problem.

x2 on the rubber grommet, just above brake/gas, although I'm told if you have a manual tranny the rubber grommet is not there.....
