Android Auto Preferences

I have been trying to connect to Android Auto on my 2020 Ford Explorer Platinum. Directions say go to settings, Android Auto Preferences and turn on Android Auto. I have looked and my Sync 3 does not have anything that even mentions Android Auto anywhere. Any suggestions?

Did you plug in your phone via usb? And did you download Android Auto on your phone?

Never mind, I found the answer. Just in case someone else has the same problem: Even though
ford's video says to click on settings, Android Audio Preferences, and then plug your phone into USB, you must plug your phone in first. Then the Android Auto will show up. It is disappointing that if you have the large portrait screen that you will only see Android Auto (and apps) in a small area at the top of the screen.
