Ok, so im doing my front brakes on my 94 with auto hubs. I got the whole thing apart and the disk is off. How do i get the old bearing out of the disk? should i just buy new bearings. i checked the how to thread already, but it leaves this part out. am i just missing something? This is the first time i have done breaks on a 4x4. thanks

i assume that i need to replace the red seal right?

In order to repack the bearings you need to remove the inner bearing from the hub. If you do this you will need to replace the large inner seal. Put the rotor back on the spindle, thread the large spindle nut back on so all the threads on the nut are engaged. Now grab the rotor with both hands and give it a yank and pull it off. Tis will pop the seal out along with the bearing. Re pack your bearings with grease and press a new wheel seal into the back of the hub. An auto machine shop can do it for you if you don't have access to a press, or you can drive the seal in with a hammer and a seal driver of the corredt size. Be careful to not alter the shape of the seal collar or it will not seal properly. When you put the new bearing, seal hub assembly back on, be sure to lubricate the surface where the seal rides with some light grease or oil so it slides on nicely. Lots of fun!!!
