Hi all

Lower Arms 520-388/387 purchased in amazon and installed in March 2021.

They are not a cheap piece...cost almost like the oem ones but will arrive much faster via amazon DDP "no mess" delivery service.

Made in china.

1. Driver side shock arm mount hole wont ever fit with shock absorber installed in because of huge tolerances difference .lot of dremel work needed to make the hole larger.
Passenger side fits ok.

2. Both balljoint boots failed (2000 miles or so - no any offroad !) cause of very low grade rubber boot, compaired to the oem one.

It is funny.dorman assemblers uses regular paint as a balljoint retainer. Old style fashion way to hold bushings in place

3. Contacted Dorman warranty service, they told me to send em back the whole arms assembly.ive asked only for balljoints (cause i have no any ability to wait until new arms will arrive from US),they refused (cause of no new balljoint will fit blablabla)

4.new motorcraft balljoints installed with loctite retainer just for a case.no any installation problem.ford oem service grade balljoint will fit for 100 percent.

5.all the dorman bushings are ok for now.

I could probably count the number of Dorman parts I would use on my Mountaineer with one hand. Even then, I would have fingers to spare.

Dorman vs. OEM Motorcraft? Bwahahaaha!

Dorman v. twenty (+) year old Ford salvage… go salvage, when you can.

I would not buy a Dorman toilet chain.

Thank goodness for the Chinese after market. Haha.

Why do we tolerate this junk, wherever it sold? Cheap price.

Grrrrrr….

Unfortunately, in many markets, the only people working on their own cars are the dirt poor illegals. Everyone in metro coastal areas with a pulse and a pay stub is leasing a new Beamer. So repair parts for older vehicles meet the demand of the cheapest Chinese crap that can fill a box. How 'bout those $7 DinaMaster-Stop brake pads? Or those $15 pre-warped rotors that are rougher than 80-grit sandpaper with old rusty half-melted bolts cast into them? Muy bien mi amigo!

Update:

Now about 10000-12000 miles since dorman junk was installed.

Dorman passenger side lower arm rearwards bushing is almost failed.what a piece of junk.
No any external failure reason like no leaks on the bushings or wrong height installation throubles.

Since there is no separated OEM service parts for the control arms bushings, ive ordered Moog replacement bushings(will post here the installation process).thats another chinese crap,a bit higher graded than a dorman.

Cheap trash now became expensive lol
